Xolo in India rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for Era 4G smartphone users. The new update fixes bugs and brings many other features which existing Lollipop operating system didn’t offer.

The new update is rolled out over the air and all the existing users in the country get the same eventually. It can be done manually by downloading the update and making necessary changes in the Phone’s software update.

The Marshmallow includes different features such as stability improvements, UI changes, and speed optimizations along with some bug fixes.

The update comes with a new Doze battery saving feature that hibernates the background apps when the handset is in standby mode.

The phone supports 4G-Long Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity and inbuilt with 8GB of internal storage memory while its expandable storage slot can hold up to 32 GB capacity micro SD card.

Coming to the other specifications, the phone has a five-inch HD IPS display covered with scratch resistant Gorilla Glass and runs on 1.5 GHz Quad-Core processor with 1 GB RAM. It has a 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP self-shooting front camera.

The Era 4G is equipped with multilingual support for some of the Indian languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Odia, Punjabi, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Bengali and Assamese.

The smartphone supports dual-SIM and backed by a 2500 mAH battery. In physical appearance, it has 145.5 x 72 x 8.45 mm dimensions and weighs 142 grams. The device is available at a cost of Rs. 4,444/-.
